What is the Microsoft Secure Score?
The Secure Score is a number Microsoft assigns based on your security settings. The more security measures you have set up, such as multi-factor authentication and blocking outdated sign-in methods, the higher your score. It gives you an objective picture of where you stand.
Why the score matters
A low score means there are security risks open that attackers can exploit. A high score alone is no guarantee, but it helps you not to forget the most important measures. For NIS2, demonstrably secure working is no longer a luxury either.
